Please read the right up in the Nova Scotia Freemason (near the end of the magazine) regarding the Interprovincial Day. Below is a more recent update of how it will unfold.
As you can see above our day is set and will be going ahead as planned. As you all know Westmorland Lodge of GLNB will be hosting our first Interprovincial Day and the meeting will be starting at 2:00 PM. Once our meeting is over which should be around 5:00PM we will be having a meal of Seafood Chowder and we will have Chilli for those who do not like Seafood. The meal will have a small charge for cost recovery only.
All visiting Brethren to this meet will enter once the host Lodge has open the Lodge meeting and the two visiting Jurisdictions will be paraded in led by the Grand Director of Ceremonies (or whoever is acting as such) of each Jurisdiction and GDC will introduce the Grand Master or his Designate, and all other visitors from his Jurisdiction. When entering the Lodge the GLNS will line up on the North side line and GLPEI will line up on the South side line.
During the meeting we will be handling all business that we feel needs to be done to get us started on a path that will see this carry on for many years. All business will be done after all Brethren are present in the Lodge as we will all have a say on how we will carry on into the future.
Alexandria Lodge No. 87 of Cumberland County District of GLNS will be hosting our Interprovincial Day in 2015 and they will be closing our 2014 Interprovincial Day under the Ritual of the GLNS.
Prince of Wales Lodge No. 18 of GLPEI will be doing the education at our first meeting and I have been told that the education will be very interesting.
We would like to get a rough count of the number of visiting Brethren so we will have enough food prepared for all. If when sending this letter out someone could be appointed from each Jurisdiction to compile a list of names that are planning on attending and then forward this list to me Buddy Trenholm at firstname.lastname@example.org by September 22nd would go a long way in making our Day a success.
This should be a great Day for the Fraternities of our three Jurisdictions and if all goes well we should be able carry on for many years and make it better each year.
