$100 * 9 = $900
The Adult Bursary is an on going project of the Cumberland District. I’m not sure how long it has been done but there is general agreement that it should continue. As you can see it is the major expense for the District. This $500 is triple matched by the Masonic Foundation to bring in $2000 for this project.
The Cumberland Early Intervention Project. is a self financed project. In other words, whatever moneys can be collected are the moneys that will be distributed. There is no cost to individual lodges and it does not appear in this budget for that reason.
The Web-Site is a new innovation this year. Please have a look at www.cumberlandmasons.ca. Many thanks to V W Bro Mike Gaul for his work on this Web-Site.
Secretarial supplies include the cost of paper, copying, printer ink etc. For this year it is only an estimate since we have no records of what this may cost.
District Meeting and DDGM expenses have usually been assumed by the DDGM himself or his home Lodge. This is really a district expense.
The District is responsible for the cost of the maintenance and replacement of the regalia for the District Grand Chaplain and the District Grand Director of Ceremonies. It would be good to have a fund begun to take care of this eventuality.
In the past we have had a District Degree team to assist some of the smaller Lodges. It might be good to look at this as a District initiative.
