To: All Lodges
Subject: Administrative Seminar 2013
We are in the process of planning your Administrative Seminar which will be held at the Freemasons Hall Auditorium, 165 Coronation Ave., Halifax on Saturday, April 6th, 2013 commencing at 10:00 a.m. and ending approximately 3:30 p.m.
The seminar this year will be in two parts, one morning session and one afternoon as follows:
Morning Session by Mel Goss
“My horse won't listen to me.”
(Tips and techniques for effective communications.)
How successful is your lodge and how do you measure that success?
Success in any company or organization is a direct reflection of how effective you plan and communicate. If you feel that there is room to improve the success of your lodge, attend this workshop and engage in some thought provoking and exciting discussions. Mel is a dynamic speaker/motivator that will lead us in a fun and informative adventure.
“Don't wait for someone else
to begin to change things
start changing things yourself.”
Norman Vincent Peale
Afternoon Session by David Ross
“Strategic planning isn’t Rocket Science!”
(Suggestions on how to develop a successful plan for your lodge)
Why should your lodge have a plan? What makes a successful plan, and how do you go about putting one together? Developing a plan that builds a common understanding and shared vision of the direction of your lodge can be a powerful journey to undertake with the brethren. This workshop should provide participants with some ideas and insights on creating an effective plan - something that can be both meaningful and relevant to the future success of your lodge. David will lead us through an interactive discussion on what you can do to build your own successful plan.
Remember, this is your seminar and you may speak freely if you have problems either with your Lodge or with Grand Lodge. There will be time for a Q. & A. at the end of the presentations.
NOTE: Brethren, in order for us to make the proper arrangements for this event we must know if you will be attending not later than March 22nd. All we need is a letter or an e-mail with the Name, Office in Lodge and Lodge number of each attendee.
Lunch will be served in the room and suitable coffee & tea breaks morning and afternoon.
My Brothers, we need at least 80 registrants before this session can be presented. There are important matters brought forth at these sessions and all past and present Lodge Officers will benefit from their participation.
Sincerely and fraternally,
